Met Joy she is awesome! Went out of her way to explain every detail of the storage unit. Price, space, code for gate. She walked out & showed us the unit.We went to 3 other places, she was the best out of all of them.

I've been with acorn mini storage for some time now and i appreciate the support that has been shown to me there. when ever i needed a space for short term or long term I know Acorn had always help me with a budget plan or something to help me out when i was low on funds. The best part of it is that there security has went up higher to give the customer the feeling of "my belongs will be kept there safe" and i have nothing to worry about. Thanks Joy for all your Good Customer Service and hard work to maintain the facility.

Well looks i do dare lol sorry a little inside humor. Honestly in the times we are in today sometimes a little help goes a long ways. My experience with Acorn, Maplewood has been great. The facility is clean, and very well kept. The manager is professional and I can tell she truly cares and listens to your needs. I feel my very expensive belongings are safe and sound here. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you.

I would just like to say this place is Awesome. All of the workers are great joy,Lyle. and now G. I have been renting here for over five years now and have never a problem. Acorn recently put in a new security system which makes things even better. The only problem I have with acorn is that if you plan on staying any amount of time they keep jacking up your rent. They will let you move to another unit at a lower price. Over the years renting here I have come to know other long time renters and they say the same thing. I feel they should let the long term renters stay at a reasonable price.

Despite me calling and asking if they do price increases and being told "only a couple of dollars if any" my rate jumped up $11 in just 6 months. I'm guessing they will end up being no different than public storage that I just moved out of for that same reason. Very disapointing.

Spent most of last winter with my door frozen shut in 4 inches of ice and a 3 ft plow drift. Plus they reward loyalty by raising your rent every 6 months. It's good for a short-term but not really happy being a long-term renter. I already had to move out of my original unit because they kept raising the rent and now they're doing it on my next one.

Acorn mini storage in Blaine MN is awesome. The maplewood location is not the same. Blaine is very clean. No rodent concerns. Security gates so you feel safe. 24 hr access. Hope this is helpful.

This place is the shittyest storage I’ve ever seen . So many people have been robbed here it’s rediculous !!!! They say they have camera footage but they don’t. Will be reporting them to the better businesss bureau.

Mice invested. Poorly lit. Several of my boxes went missing. No evidence of a break-in. The renter next to me had a makeshift bedroom with a tarp curtain in the back of his unit and was there constantly using the storage unit for a living/workspace - spraying toxic solvents, blocking traffic, etc. I was lied to and was told he was asked to leave; he continued to still be there. Several price increases. No thanks… I would not recommend this place to anyone!

BURGLARIES HERE!!!!! I received a phone call in January letting me know that my unit was broken in to. I was also told my unit was the FOURTH break-in that month! All the burglarized units are in the same building, the one in the back of the property. Acorn has NO CAMERAS inside this particular building, so thieves have all the time in the world to go through all of your belongings piece by piece to decide which items they want to steal from you--knowing they won't be caught on camera. Acorn has cameras outside this building, not inside, which is completely useless. The outside cameras don't record thieves breaking into the units!! I made a police report with the Maplewood Police and the policeman told me that thieves are well aware which areas do not have cameras and these are the units that will be burglarized. The suspects punched in their own security codes after-hours to gain access to the facility. So having these security codes did NOT stop these people!! My unit was ransacked. Every tub, bin and box was thoroughly gone through. If Acorn would have had cameras inside the building, I don't think I would be writing this review right now. Here are some photos of my burglarized unit at Acorn storage. All the bins were emptied and thrown around the unit. Anything the thieves didn't want was thrown back in the unit. You can call the Maplewood police yourself to verify this rash of break-ins at Acorn. The sad thing is, I had these belongings at a different storage facility for YEARS without incident. I moved them to Acorn and had a break-in just a year and a half after moving in. MY RESPONSE TO OWNER'S RESPONSE: If indeed, camera coverage is your *utmost* concern as you say, you would put cameras INSIDE that back building. When I called to make the police report the first thing that the lady asked me was, "Is there video of the break-in?" So it is obviously very important to the police to have video inside the building. If you had an inside camera, it would have identified the suspects and corroborated their entry time to the facility when they punched in their security codes. THE POLICEMAN TOLD ME HIMSELF THAT THIEVES AVOID AREAS WHERE THERE ARE INSIDE CAMERAS. So yes, an inside camera would make all the difference in the world. As it is, you had FOUR break-ins in one month. Is this acceptable to you? The question is, do you care enough about your customers to put a camera inside the back building? You have cameras inside the other buildings, don't you? Why not this one? Obviously you need them. Also, doing a lock check daily does not stop thieves who come to the facility after-hours! That's why you need indoor cameras because after your staff goes home for the day, anybody with a security code can come in and burglarize units. A disk lock is meaningless when someone comes in after hours and has all the time in the world to saw a lock off, knowing they won't be caught on camera because there are NO indoor cameras. You should be making the facility more difficult to steal from, not easier. SECOND UPDATE: The Maplewood Police informed me that they could not prosecute the suspects of my break-in even though the suspects were proven to be the only people in the building at the time. The Police would have needed video evidence to arrest them. But Acorn refuses to put cameras inside that back building because it would lower their own profits. HOWEVER, Acorn has INCREASED my rent just one week ago. YES, after having my unit broken into and stolen from, Acorn has jacked up my rent. Acorn is offering no increased service to me yet they are extracting more money from me. STAY AWAY.
